Outfit firefighters,

Insurance rates are, for the most part, determined by the ISO Rating

earned by each department, on a scale of 1-10,

with 10 being no coverage and 1 being the absolute best.

The Emerald Mountain Fire District enjoys a ISO Rating of 4,

one of only a few stations in Elmore County with a rating this high. 

Most Elmore County departments have ISO ratings in the 5-8 range.

What this means to us as residents is that

our homeowner's insurance is less than half

what it would be were the fire department have to close it's doors.
